Who run the world? GIRLz!

Just finished watching the "Tudors". Not only was it a feast for the eyes, although I'm glad the times of unending layers and stuffing corsets are over - Man Repeller may argue:) , indicating a clear message of the person's occupation and a social status brilliantly designed by JOAN BERGIN, but also a great educating tool. Back then women were merely as important as men, however in a less obvious more sneaky, manipulating way , using their bodies to fulfill their desires and convince men to do as they wished. If only , it was that easy. JK. Not a whole lot of changed since then in personal relationships. That's not really the point.
We've had some great woman leaders in the history of the world which I always salute to. Staring with Henry the VIII daughter - Queen Elisabeth I, (mother Ann Boleyn - beheaded - loving the king back then had its negatives like being shortened at the neck), Nefertiti, Cleopatra , Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher to name few - I ADMIRE WOMAN! Especially my own bread like my Grandma- Jadwiga, My Mother- Bozena and My Aunt- Alicja all of whom over the years continue to influence me in the best possible way. Woman in my family are amazing and it just happens that both my parents (32 anniversary) and my aunt and uncle(20 anniversary) are celebrating their wedding anniversaries, proving that you can maintain a happy relationship while staying true to yourself. I say more, because of their perseverance not only the relationship grew stronger, but as a woman they continue to evolve. Cheers to running your worlds!

Since it is also on my "to do" list to run THE WORLD, military pants seemed appropriate for the occasion after all I'm the Queen in my household.

The art of disguise@HTTS

HTTS- Head to Toe Thrift Store
One of the ways to 'not looking cheap' is having expensive looking accessories like leather wedges, leather clutch and a pair of Chanel sunglasses, just so you can pretend you've spent sooo much money on yourself. We get judged by the way we look, that's human nature so dress up, looking expensive, but keep your money for other earthy pleasures. You know soon it will all be outdated and vintage, and you'll end up chasing another new trend. Be yourself always!!! Lightweight fabric of this sweater makes it a great throw over slinky dress. You can turn any dress into a skirt by layering it under a loose top , add some necklaces (2) for extra attention, comfortable wedges , a leather clutch and you're set. As usual the best part is the cost: viscose sweater $0.56 on sale from $0.96 lol, dress $0.96, Nine West leather wedges $5.96, leather clutch by Joe's $40 - I know, I know that's like a fortune, I had to clean all my handbags for change to get this one. However that burgundy color baby: was an investment, necklaces: my my own,  sunglasses : Chanel - a gift from Paul.

Set up !!!

Today, I've set up RWP Jewelry displays in Kelsey Resale Boutique in Hinsdale . There is a small selection of everything including some bracelets, necklaces and sets with charms. Super excited about this new opportunity and relationship:)

If you are heaving a bad hair day I suggest turban or headband that will cover that nasty pillow style.

Rainy day

Chicago weather can be unpredictable so you need to be at all times ready. Weathermen will tell you it's going to be sunny day, next thing you know water and tennis-size-ice-balls are falling from the sky on your lovely attire. Ughr!!! So here is my 2in1 option - no makeup no problem, hidden under a gigantic umbrella, ella ella , ehe eh eh (Rihanna always comes to mind when I say "Umbrella) - Rain is crucial for this option to work . Mushroom structure will protect you from the water drips and unpleasant looks of other "les Miserables" people who didn't prepare for the possibility of change.

Can you mini?

Long Sleeve shirt-Free People,Sweater-Loft Ann Taylor, Skirt-Hollister, Belt- Banana Republic,Boots: Frye, Sunglasse:Chanel

Let's talk about another trend for spring/summer: mini skirts. Is it really a trend?  What are the chances of wondering whether to wear mini or maxi skirt in a 100 degree, scorching sun, not even tiny white puffs in the sky in a 20 miles radius weather? Huh? Seriously? Unless you go for the "sweat-IE" look, then be my guest. Mini skirts are always present, always will be. Don't act surprised when you see tutorials on how to wear this "trend"NOT again. However that is not the subject for today. The trouble with the mini skirt comes when you have to reach down to pick up something without tearing the sides, because you are already running pretty high chances of looking slutty(how short is that mini), let's ponder the options together.

"The Dipper"
Not bad, you can make it look very gracious while using handbag to cover your behind.

"The Crapper" - going for number 1or 2 in a public risking possible jail time, not recommended
" The Cachinnate" from Greek kachazein
My personal fave. If you laugh uncontrollably you will distract everybody from looking down your skirt and recovering any object of the ground without problems.! Victory!
