Who run the world? GIRLz!

Just finished watching the "Tudors". Not only was it a feast for the eyes, although I'm glad the times of unending layers and stuffing corsets are over - Man Repeller may argue:) , indicating a clear message of the person's occupation and a social status brilliantly designed by JOAN BERGIN, but also a great educating tool. Back then women were merely as important as men, however in a less obvious more sneaky, manipulating way , using their bodies to fulfill their desires and convince men to do as they wished. If only , it was that easy. JK. Not a whole lot of changed since then in personal relationships. That's not really the point.

We've had some great woman leaders in the history of the world which I always salute to. Staring with Henry the VIII daughter - Queen Elisabeth I, (mother Ann Boleyn - beheaded - loving the king back then had its negatives like being shortened at the neck), Nefertiti, Cleopatra , Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher to name few - I ADMIRE WOMAN! Especially my own bread like my Grandma- Jadwiga, My Mother- Bozena and My Aunt- Alicja all of whom over the years continue to influence me in the best possible way. Woman in my family are amazing and it just happens that both my parents (32 anniversary) and my aunt and uncle(20 anniversary) are celebrating their wedding anniversaries, proving that you can maintain a happy relationship while staying true to yourself. I say more, because of their perseverance not only the relationship grew stronger, but as a woman they continue to evolve. Cheers to running your worlds!

Can you  imagine living in a black and white world? I think if we did, we would open our minds and hearts to less judgment. Color allows for more expression but also open the doors to criticism. Fashion - what would happen to the industry which relies so heavily on the hues? 

Imagine living in black and white and suddenly being transshiped into a world of color. Just think about it now. Wow, right? That is all we see every day, without appreciation. We are drenched in color and yet we don't notice it. Take a minute to be grateful for all the beauty in the world, in the people and nature.

Last week I had a pleasure of working with talented photographer Brissa Hanzel, Susan Chulia and Chasity Martinez Mua in a beautiful settings of Adams Park in Wheaton.  If photo shoots are always so much fun, I can do them every day:) It was perfect - weather, nature and most important great people I shared this experience with.

Tough feet, happy feet

I have been searching for a perfect pair of sneakers forEVER. To my surprise I did discover a great marriage of tough and casual in these foot coverings by Rock&Republic in the men's shoe section. Most of the time, I swear at my large feet, however the only size that would fit me was the smallest (size 7) for men and "Hallelujah" I say to my lower limbs (just don't grow any  bigger). Why not go beyond wearing your boyfriend's jeans, or tuxedo blazer or shirt if you can go straight to the source of men's world and get exactly what they would?

Exploration is the key to staying original, go for it.

To all the Mothers I know

Dla mojej Mamy - Gdybym wiedziała, jako dziecko, co wiem teraz, na pewno nie zadalabym Ci tyle trudow, rozumiejac, że Ty chcesz tylko to, co dla mnie najlepsze. Wiedzialabym jak trudno jest odpuscić, stanać z boku i pozwolić osobie, ktora kochasz uczyć się na własnych błędach.

Mimo, że jest za późno na wiele rzeczy, to nie jest za późno, aby Ci powiedzieć, że doceniam, jaka kochająca jesteś Mama, obdażajaca miloscia i że kocham Cię bardzo mocno. Dziękuję Ci za inspirację, za to, że ewoluujesz jako osoba, pokazując mi, że bez względu na wiek, wciąż możemy odkrywać nowe możliwości i dotrzeć do nieznanych obszarów bez strachu przed porażką.

First of all to my Mom - If I knew as a child what I know now, Mom, I probably wouldn't have made things so hard for you,
I would have understood that you were looking out for my best interest.
I would have known how difficult it is to let go,
to stand back and let someone you love learn from their mistakes.
While it's too late for a lot of things, it's not too late for me to tell you that I appreciate how loving you are, how giving of love you've always been and that I love you very much. Thank you for being such an inspiring person, always evolving into a better human being and showing me that no matter what age, we can still explore new opportunities in life and reach out for unkown areas without the fear of failure.
